When Life is Difficult.

I find myself so exhausted, choking with a lot of things on my plate, balancing life with the different hats I wear and praying, “God, when will this all end?”

I remembered Genesis 3:19

“In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.” 

As long as I am alive, I need to sweat; this is the consequence of sin that is why life is hard. But should I dwell on the hardships of life? Should I look closely on all my troubles? What about the big world God has created for me to enjoy, I must always remember the greatness and faithfulness of God. I would often hear, nothing is impossible with the Lord, so when I feel so burdened, I am depending on my strength and not on the power He has given me through the Holy Spirit. He knows everything, my deepest thoughts and desires so I can always come home to Him, into His presence I can find peace, in His arms I can find comfort, in His words I have assurance, that He will never leave me nor forsake me. I need to look back at the many times I was in trouble and God reached out with His merciful hand. He is our God that can be trusted with anything and everything, He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20).
